LITTLETON, CO / ACCESSWIRE / July 16, 2024 / Ur-Energy Inc. (NYSE American:URG)(TSX:URE) (the "Company" or "Ur-Energy") provides the following 2024 Q2 updates on Lost Creek production operations and guidance, Shirley Basin construction, and our uranium sales contract book.

John Cash, the Company's CEO and Chairman of the Board, stated, "We are pleased that continuing advances at Lost Creek resulted in increased production quarter-over-quarter. The Lost Creek drilling and construction teams have further refined their work plans to facilitate our schedule of bringing a new header house online each month. This progress enables the continuing increase in production flow which will allow us to achieve our production targets. Importantly, the production patterns continue to be receptive to our mining methods, exhibiting strong production grades.

"We are happy to see the level of construction activity on the ground at Shirley Basin as well as the progress on procurement, and detailed engineering and planning to facilitate our planned buildout. We look forward to bringing uranium in situ recovery back to its birthplace at Shirley Basin and solidifying Ur-Energy's position as the dominant producer in the Great Divide Basin and Shirley Basin Districts of Wyoming."

Lost Creek Production Operations

Lost Creek production is advancing with three header houses having come online in 2024 H1. During Q2 we captured approximately 70,679 pounds, dried and packaged 64,170 pounds and shipped 70,390 pounds U3O8. We are pleased with the notable increase in each of these production numbers compared with Q1 production. Notwithstanding these improvements, we are guiding to the lower side of our earlier 2024 production guidance of 550,000 to 650,000 pounds captured on IX resin.

At quarter end, our in-process inventory was approximately 86,204 pounds, our drummed inventory at Lost Creek was 21,570 pounds, and our finished inventory at the conversion facility was 74,625 pounds U3O8. Our next shipment to the conversion facility is scheduled for late July.

Header House (HH) 2-9 came online this week and HH2-10 is scheduled to come online mid-August. Our construction crew is now on track to meet its goal of routinely completing a new header house approximately every thirty days. Throughout Q2 we had 12 drill rigs working at Lost Creek; we anticipate additional drill rigs mobilizing to Lost Creek in coming weeks.

Fabrication of HH2-10 is complete and fabrication of HHs 2-11 through 2-13 is in progress in our Casper construction shop. We recently took delivery of and deployed two downhole geophysical logging trucks that were ordered in early 2023.

Our site workforce is stabilizing, with safety and task training advancing. We continue to effectively navigate ongoing supply chain issues through the implementation of our long lead-time purchasing program. The lead time for electrical transformers remains challenging but we have a sufficient number of header house transformers on the ground for at least the next year.

Shirley Basin Development

In Q1 we were pleased to announce plans to begin the buildout of our Shirley Basin in situ recovery facility in Carbon County, Wyoming. Installation of the monitor wells for the first mine unit is on schedule with 100 of the 123 planned wells piloted and 62 wells cased. After all monitor wells are installed, we will collect baseline water quality and perform hydrologic aquifer tests. The hydrologic confinement at Shirley Basin is well established. We currently have two drill rigs working at Shirley Basin and expect to add a third rig in coming weeks. When the monitor well program is complete, the three rigs will redeploy to Lost Creek until construction and development drilling begins at Shirley Basin in 2025 H1.

The existing south access road to the site has been upgraded to an all-season road. Materials are on-hand and construction will soon commence for the secondary 15kV electrical power line distribution to the mine site. Engineering design is underway for the refurbishment of the pre-existing substation that serviced historic Shirley Basin operations. The office building and a support building are in the design phase and construction is planned for this year. Steel has been rolled and welded for the 15 IX columns under construction at a fabrication facility in Casper. Long-lead items are advancing on schedule.

Uranium Sales and Cash Position

We sold 75,000 pounds U3O8 in Q2 at an average price of $61.65 per pound for proceeds of $4.6 million. The cost per pound sold was $41.69. The average gross profit per pound sold of $19.96 results in an average gross profit margin of approximately 32%.

In addition to the 75,000 pounds sold in Q2, we have received binding notices from our customers for the delivery of 495,000 pounds in the second half of this year for total sales of 570,000 pounds U3O8 in 2024. Including the revenue received during the quarter, we expect to realize revenues of $33.1 million from U3O8 sales in 2024.

Deliveries for 2025 are committed to three of our customers for a base amount of 700,000 pounds U3O8. Under these agreements, two of the three buyers may elect to flex up or down by as much as 10% of the annual base delivery quantity. We are pleased to have received notice from one of our purchasers of its election to flex up its 2025 purchases by 10%, such that we now anticipate we may deliver 730,000 pounds U3O8 into our term sales agreements in 2025. We have not received all delivery notices from our purchasers.

As previously disclosed, in April we signed the third of three new offtake agreements completed in 2024. The newest agreement calls for annual delivery commitments of up to 100,000 pounds U3O8 in 2026 through 2029, a portion of which is based upon production milestones. Pricing is a combination of escalated fixed price, well above anticipated all-in costs of production, and a market-related pricing component that is subject to an escalated floor and ceiling. We have provided notice to the buyer of satisfaction of the milestones related to the 2026 and 2027 deliveries.

At June 30, 2024, we had cash and cash equivalents of $61.3 million.

About Ur-Energy

LITTLETON, CO / ACCESSWIRE / May 6, 2024 / Ur-Energy Inc. (NYSE American:URG)(TSX:URE) (the "Company" or "Ur-Energy") has filed the Company's Form 10-Q for the quarter ended March 31, 2024, with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission at www.sec.gov/edgar.shtml and with Canadian securities authorities at www.sedarplus.ca.

Ur-Energy CEO, John Cash said: "Last week the U.S. Senate, following the House of Representatives action on the same bill, announced the passage by unanimous consent of a Russian Uranium Ban that will commence 90 days after it is signed, subject to certain limited waivers available until January 1, 2028. We are encouraged to see unanimous bipartisan backing of a bill that is likely to result in strong support for western suppliers of nuclear fuel components, including Ur-Energy. We believe we are in the right place at the right time to help fill the uranium supply gap and we will continue to advance production at Lost Creek and Shirley Basin and look for other opportunities to expand our U.S. based production portfolio."

Lost Creek Operations

Ramp-up continues at Lost Creek, with two additional header houses (HHs 2-6 and 2-7) coming online thus far in 2024. During Q1, we captured approximately 38,221 pounds, dried and packaged 39,229 pounds, and shipped 35,445 pounds U3O8. At quarter end, our in-process inventory was approximately 80,465 pounds, our drummed inventory was 26,062 pounds, and our finished inventory at the conversion facility was 79,235 pounds U3O8.

Sales and Sales Agreements

In April 2024, we completed a new sales agreement in addition to the two new agreements announced earlier this year. The April agreement calls for annual delivery commitments of up to 100,000 pounds U3O8 in 2026 through 2029, a portion of which is based upon production milestones. The pricing for the sales under this agreement is a combination of an escalated fixed price, which is well above the anticipated all-in costs of production, and a market-related pricing component that is subject to an escalated floor and ceiling. Including the three agreements announced this year, we now have six sales agreements with various global nuclear purchasers with deliveries as follows:

2024 Continuing Guidance

We have 12 drill rigs onsite, with an additional rig scheduled to commence work in early May. Drilling has advanced into HH 2-11 with completion work nearly finished in HH 2-8. Fabrication of HHs 2-8 and 2-9 is complete, and work on HHs 2-10 and 2-11 is advancing in our Casper construction shop. HH 2-8 is expected to come online in May.

While we have experienced some additional equipment and operational challenges, we are seeing more consistent drying and packaging, with 29,497 pounds U3O8 drummed since quarter end and dryer operations keeping pace with wellfield production.

We expect 2024 production from MU2 to be between 550,000 and 650,000 pounds. We have made two shipments of U3O8 to the converter in 2024 and anticipate routine shipments throughout the year.

We have commitments under contracts negotiated in 2022, when the long-term price was between $43 and $52 per pound, for deliveries of 570,000 pounds U3O8 in 2024 and expect to realize revenues of $33.1 million. The contracts secured in 2022 enabled the Company to make the decision to ramp up operations at Lost Creek.

Uranium spot prices remained strong in 2024 Q1, with pricing averaging approximately $94 per pound U3O8 during the quarter and reaching highs above $106 per pound U3O8 in January. Nuclear utilities and other purchasers are back in the market, moving not only spot pricing, but term pricing as well, which increased from $68 per pound in December 2023 to $78 per pound U3O8 at the end of March 2024.

As uranium prices strengthened, we have received increasing requests for proposals ("RFPs") from utilities and other global fuel buyers. We have responded to the RFPs with prices commensurate with rising market conditions including increased demand for domestically produced uranium. We completed two additional uranium sales agreements during 2024 Q1 and a third agreement subsequent to quarter end. Including the three additional agreements, our contract book now stands at a total of 5.7 million pounds U3O8 with deliveries occurring in 2024 through 2030. Sales prices are anticipated to be profitable on an all-in production cost basis and escalate annually from initial pricing, including some market-based pricing features.

With our expanded sales contract book, and encouraging market conditions, we were pleased to announce our decision in 2024 Q1 to proceed with the buildout of a satellite facility at our wholly owned, fully permitted and licensed Shirley Basin Project in Carbon County, Wyoming. The decision will nearly double our annual permitted mine production to 2.2 million pounds U3O8. Work has already been initiated on the project. We have already completed the bid and award process for the fabrication of IX columns, one of the longest lead items of the project, and plan to install approximately 120 monitor wells for the first mine unit in 2024 Q2 and Q3. Major construction activities are expected to begin in 2025 and initial production is expected to commence in 2026.

We are pleased to be one of the few publicly traded companies that is commercially recovering uranium and expanding our production capacity to sell into a strengthening uranium market. As discussed, stronger prices have already enabled us to secure multi-year sales agreements with leading nuclear companies, which in turn allowed us to resume commercial production at Lost Creek and initiate construction and development activities at Shirley Basin.

We will continue to closely monitor the uranium markets, and other developments, which may affect the uranium production industry and provide the opportunity to put in place additional off-take sales contracts at pricing sufficient to justify further expansion through organic and inorganic growth.

As always, we will focus on maintaining safe and compliant operations.

LITTLETON, CO / ACCESSWIRE / April 23, 2024 / Ur-Energy Inc. (NYSE American:URG)(TSX:URE) ("Ur-Energy" or the "Company") provides the following updates on 2024 Q1 operations, adjustment to our production guidance for the year, and the early repayment of our State Bond Loan.

John Cash, Ur-Energy Chairman and CEO, said of 2024 Q1, "This year has started with a great number of advances in the growth of Ur-Energy, demonstrating a focus on our future in a strengthening market for nuclear energy including our own uranium production at the front-end of the fuel cycle. We were pleased to announce our decision to build our second ISR uranium facility at Shirley Basin, the birthplace of ISR uranium in the 1960s, and related activities have commenced. We anticipate production at Shirley Basin to begin in 2026.

"Meanwhile, ramp-up continues at Lost Creek with additional development and production leading to another shipment of yellowcake being made this month. We continue to overcome ramp-up challenges. Due to those challenges, we are updating and reducing our 2024 production guidance to 550,000 - 650,000 pounds captured."

Lost Creek Production Operations

Ramp-up continues at Lost Creek, with two additional header houses (HH 2-6 and 2-7) coming online in 2024. During Q1, we captured approximately 38,221 pounds, dried and packaged approximately 39,229 pounds, and shipped 35,445 pounds U3O8. At quarter end, our in-process inventory was approximately 80,465 pounds, our drummed inventory was approximately 26,062 pounds, and our finished inventory at the conversion facility was approximately 79,235 pounds U3O8.

While we have experienced some additional equipment and operational challenges, we are seeing more consistent drying and packaging, with 19,331 pounds U3O8 packaged since quarter end and dryer operations keeping pace with wellfield production. We have 13 drill rigs onsite, with an additional rig scheduled to commence work in early May. Drilling has advanced into HH 2-11 with completion work nearly finished in HH 2-8. Fabrication of HH 2-8 and 2-9 is complete, and work on HH 2-10 and 2-11 is advancing in our Casper construction shop. HH 2-8 is expected to come online in May.

Shirley Basin Development

We were pleased to announce our decision in Q1 to proceed with the buildout of a satellite facility at our wholly owned, fully permitted and licensed Shirley Basin Project in Carbon County, Wyoming. The decision will nearly double our annual permitted mine production to 2.2 million pounds U3O8 while diversifying our supply.

The satellite plant will be a relatively low-cost facility consisting of ion exchange, wastewater, and groundwater restoration circuits. The ion exchange resin at Shirley Basin will be loaded with uranium from the mine and shipped to our Lost Creek ISR facility for processing before being recycled back into operations at Shirley Basin. This satellite approach will help minimize initial facility capital costs to approximately $24.4 million and pre-operational wellfield development costs to $16.3 million.

The satellite plant will be designed with a flow rate of up to 6,000 gallons per minute and capacity to produce up to 1.0 million pounds of U3O8 per year. Our permits and license allow for the construction of the elution, precipitation and drying circuits should it become economically advantageous. No amendments to the existing permits or licenses would be required.

The estimated time to finalize designs, order materials and construct the satellite plant and initial wellfield recovery area is approximately 24 months. Work has already been initiated on long-lead items, including detailed engineering and additional geologic pattern planning for the wellfield. Planning has been completed for the monitor well ring for the first mine unit, with plans to install approximately 120 wells in 2024 Q2 - Q3. This installation will enable hydrologic testing and baseline water quality analyses to proceed prior to the start of installation of production patterns in mid-2025. Significantly, the bid process and award for fabrication of IX columns has been completed. This procurement represents one of the longest lead items in the facility.

Sales and Prepayment of State Bond Loan

As previously announced, we completed two additional uranium sales agreements during 2024 Q1. Our fourth agreement calls for deliveries of a base annual quantity ranging from 100,000 to 350,000 pounds U3O8 from 2026 through 2030. The purchaser may flex the annual quantity up or down by as much as ten percent. This agreement provides in part for market-related pricing. Our fifth U3O8 sales agreement includes delivery commitments for five years beginning in 2026, with an initial delivery of 50,000 pounds U3O8 in 2026 and annual deliveries of 200,000 pounds U3O8 in 2027 through 2030. All sales under this agreement will be made at fixed prices, escalated from the agreed base price.

Subsequent to quarter end, we sold 75,000 pounds U3O8 for which we will receive $4.6 million in early May. In total, we anticipate selling 570,000 pounds U3O8, under two contracts secured in 2022.

As planned, on March 27, we completed the pre-payment of the remaining $4.4 million on our State Bond Loan and now are debt free. At March 31, 2024, we had cash and cash equivalents of $53.9 million.

LITTLETON, CO / ACCESSWIRE / April 8, 2024 / Ur-Energy Inc. (NYSE American:URG)(TSX:URE) (the "Company" or "Ur-Energy") is pleased to announce the appointment of John Paul Pressey and Elmer W. Dyke as new members of the Ur-Energy Board of Directors.

Ur-Energy also announces the anticipated retirement of founding Director James M. Franklin and Director, and former President and CEO, W. William Boberg. Both will continue to serve the Board until the Company's Annual Meeting of Shareholders, June 6, 2024, though neither will stand for re-election at the Meeting. The Company is pleased that our new Board members will be able to benefit from this transition period prior to Dr. Franklin and Mr. Boberg's retirement from the Company.

Ur-Energy Chairman and CEO, John Cash, stated, "We are excited to welcome John Paul (JP) Pressey and Elmer Dyke as Directors on Ur-Energy's Board. Mr. Pressey has nearly 30 years of valuable audit and assurance experience from his career with PricewaterhouseCoopers, including 16 years as a partner. We are pleased that Mr. Pressey brings to our Board his wide-ranging experience having worked with numerous publicly traded companies, including international mining companies, while at PricewaterhouseCoopers. Mr. Dyke is widely known as a leader in the global nuclear community and brings 35 years' experience working in senior positions on issues such as the nuclear fuel cycle, nuclear non-proliferation and marketing of nuclear fuel. Welcome aboard JP and Elmer. We look forward to working with you to advance Ur-Energy's interests as the world is increasingly turning to nuclear power.

"Personally, and on behalf of the Company, I wish to thank Dr. Jim Franklin and Mr. Bill Boberg for their many years of unwavering service to Ur-Energy. While their contributions are too many to list, it is worth noting that Jim Franklin was a founding Director of Ur-Energy when he and original management of the Company recognized in the early 2000s the impending uranium supply gap. Jim's assessments were accurate, and the timely formation of Ur-Energy positioned us to grow the Company to our current ability to capitalize on a strong market for nuclear fuel. Bill Boberg contributed throughout the years serving as a Director and an executive of the Company, but he is perhaps best known for the acquisition of the Great Divide Basin assets in Wyoming, including the property which became our flagship producing mine, Lost Creek. Jim and Bill, thank you so much for your guidance over the years. Without your leadership, Ur-Energy simply would not be the strong company it has become."

John Paul Pressey had a nearly three-decade long career in the assurance practice at PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP, with 16 years as a partner. With a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Alberta, Mr. Pressey is a Chartered Professional Accountant with extensive experience working with U.S. and Canadian publicly traded companies in the mining industry, and other industries including manufacturing, utilities, and alternative energy. His experience includes acquisitions and capital markets transactions, working with clients to identify and implement practical business solutions to accounting, audit and financial issues. Well-respected for his ethics and integrity, Mr. Pressey spent six years at PricewaterhouseCoopers as its Assurance Leader for British Columbia, overseeing all aspects of PricewaterhouseCoopers's assurance results and operations for that Province. Mr. Pressey has significant experience presenting to and working with boards of client companies and has facilitated sessions at the Institute for Corporate Directors.

Elmer Dyke is a recognized global leader in the commercial and government nuclear industry with over 35 years' experience. Mr. Dyke has a Bachelor of Arts Degree in International Political Economy from Davidson College and served as a U.S. Army Officer for thirteen years. Mr. Dyke's professional career includes a tenure with the U.S. Department of State during which he directed international security programs, including nuclear nonproliferation and high technology projects and was detailed to the Departments of Defense and Commerce. Mr. Dyke has worked within global firms NAC International and Booz Allen Hamilton where he served as an expert on nuclear nonproliferation, strategy and nuclear fuel cycle. More recently, Mr. Dyke filled senior executive roles at Centrus Energy Corporation, a global nuclear fuel supplier and technical services provider. At Centrus Energy and in prior executive roles, Mr. Dyke led strategic planning and business development, financial performance, and risk management for the businesses. Currently, Mr. Dyke leads New Horizons Nuclear Associates, LLC, a global nuclear consulting firm he formed in 2022. Mr. Dyke is intimately involved with the entire nuclear fuel cycle and has served terms on the board of directors of the World Nuclear Association and the U.S. Nuclear Industry Council.
